Buttons and switches sealed with silicone gaskets, a rubber ring that seals the lens mount, an internal zoom mechanism, and other measures prevent the incursion of dust and moisture even in challenging outdoor conditions. The front element features a fluorine coating that repels contaminants and makes the lens easier to clean.
Professional control and reliability
Operability is enhanced by an aperture ring with click ON/OFF and lock switches, three assignable focus hold buttons, and a DMF switch that enables temporary switchover to manual focus while using AF. Ample clearance is provided for the camera grip. The lens accepts standard 95mm filters, and the tripod foot has 1/4” and 3/8 ” screw holes.
