Jacaranda Photowalk

Its October and we would love to get out into the streets for a Practical session with our community. Join us on the 12, 19 or 26 October 2025 for an early morning sunrise shoot in the streets of Pretoria Where the Jacarandas will hopefully be in full bloom. We will head out at 05:00 (AM) and start doing some street/city photography. We will have two or three areas where we will be setting up, clean streets, model in the streets with the beautiful purple blooming jacarandas. Gunther will be there to assist with guidance on your settings and finding different compositions. 

 

 - Your own equipment

 - Consider rentals for any items you do not have and would like to try out. 

 - Comfortable shoes, we will be doing some walking in the area. 

 

Wide angles will be nice, but for these shoots Gunther recommends the longer focal lengths, 70mm's and up. 

Tripods, filters and cable release would all be very useful but are not compulsory.

 

Although Outdoorphoto will do what we can to minimise risk and secure your safety, attending this event will be at your own risk.

Locations will be disclosed to participants in an email one day prior to event. It will be Pretoria based.
