The Sony XLR-K3M is a dual-channel digital XLR audio adaptor that allows you to connect microphones and other audio sources to cameras equipped with a Multi-Interface Shoe. Released alongside the a7R IV, which benefits from its built-in digital audio interface, the adaptor is able to produce its best quality by delivering a digital audio stream directly to the camera through the Multi Interface Shoe. Other Sony cameras with the standard MI Shoe can still make use of the microphone as there is a selectable digital/analogue output. The Sony XLR adaptor features two XLR-1/4" combo mic/line inputs with 48V phantom power, and a 3.5mm stereo input with plug-in power, all with individual level controls. Intuitive controls make the adaptor easy to use right out of the box. Works with DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras.

Digital Sound with Low Noise
When you are connected via the Multi Interface Shoe of any compatible camera that features a built-in digital audio interface, the audio signal is directly transferred to the camera in digital form. This ensures no degradation can occur. A simple switch also provides compatibility with a wide range of cameras using an analogue interface.
Mechanical Noise Suppression
An advanced shock and vibration suppressing design effectively minimise low-frequency and handling noise, which can degrade audio quality. The absence of connecting cables, when used with a compatible MI Shoe, also means that no noise can be transmitted to the microphone mechanically via cables and connectors.
Cable-Free Connection
You can simply clip the microphone into the Multi-Interface Shoe on a compatible camera for direct power and audio connections without the need for extra cables or batteries.
Flexible Setup
An MI Shoe extension cable is supplied, giving you the flexibility to position the XLR-K3M to accommodate professional rigs and camera cages.
