The Zoom F1 Field Recorder with Lavalier Mic is built for creators who want pro-quality audio without the bulk. The LMF-1 lavalier mic plugs directly into the recorder, allowing clean, interference-free recording to a micro-SD card. Record up to 24-bit / 96 kHz resolution, ideal for interviews, weddings, vlogs, and other situations where clarity matters. The recorder itself is small and unobtrusive — attachable to a belt or hidden in a pocket — minimizing visual distraction.

Controls are simple but powerful: one-touch buttons let you adjust level, toggle a limiter (to prevent clipping), use a low-cut filter, and view settings on a clear monochrome LCD that remains readable in bright light. There’s also a Record Hold feature to lock controls during takes.

Powerwise, it runs on two AAA batteries (alkaline, lithium, or NiMH), or optionally via USB/adapter. It can also act as a USB audio interface when needed. Recordings are in WAV or MP3, with WAV files BWF-compliant (time-stamped). Other conveniences include stereo mic/line input & output jacks, pre-record, tone generator for syncing audio/video, and compatibility with Zoom’s mic-capsule system for more flexibility.
