The Sony VG-C6 Vertical Grip provides a secure, ergonomic hold consistent with the α7R VI camera body. Dual NP-SA100 batteries are supported, which nearly doubles operating time compared to using a single battery. Battery status is displayed on the camera, and it also supports power and charging via USB Type-C.
The grip matches the camera’s dust and moisture resistance and uses a magnesium alloy frame for durability. It includes shutter, AF ON, AEL, MOVIE, and C2 buttons, a Multi Selector, dual dials, a sliding battery tray, tripod mount socket, and strap attachment points.
