The Sony a7 V is a full-frame hybrid mirrorless camera designed to deliver exceptional photo and video performance for professional creators and content enthusiasts. It features a 33MP Exmor RS CMOS sensor with a partially stacked design, providing faster readout speeds, reduced rolling shutter, and 16 stops of dynamic range. Coupled with the BIONZ XR2 processor, the a7 V offers enhanced autofocus performance, AI-based subject recognition, and improved colour accuracy and auto white balance consistency across frames.

The camera supports 30 fps continuous shooting with blackout-free operation and advanced video recording, including 7K oversampled 4K 60p and high-speed 4K 120p using a Super 35 crop. Its 5-axis in-body image stabilization compensates for up to 7.5 stops of camera shake, while Dynamic Active stabilization provides additional correction for handheld video.

Advanced AI features include subject detection for humans, animals, birds, and vehicles, real-time eye autofocus, human pose estimation, and composite RAW capture for noise-reduced HDR images. Video creators benefit from S-Cinetone and S-Log3 colour profiles, multiple recording formats, and extensive audio recording options, including up to 4-channel external recording.

The a7 V’s durable magnesium alloy body is weather-sealed, houses dual memory card slots, and supports high-capacity NP-FZ100 batteries for extended shooting. Its 3.68m-dot EVF and 3.2” 4-axis multi-angle LCD touchscreen provide flexible viewing and composition, while comprehensive connectivity options include dual USB-C ports, HDMI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC for remote control, tethered shooting, and live streaming.
