It features a wide aperture of f/1.4, which empowers you to use a faster shutter speed in low light conditions, which is especially beneficial for astrophotography. It also works well for closeup images as it offers a shallow depth of field creating soft bokeh effects.

This Sigma 14mm DG DN Art lens makes use of a complicated setup that consists of 19 lens elements divided into 15 groups and it includes 1 SLD, 3 FLD and 4 aspherical lens elements to reduce and eliminate aberrations like sagittal coma flare and enhance clarity. It also contains a super multicoating to reduce ghosting and flare in bright lighting conditions, leaving you with improved contrast and accurate colour rendering.
