Flash Unit Power & Light Output

This product includes a battery powered monolight, delivering a maximum flash output of 250 Ws. It features an 11 stop power adjustment range with fine 1/10 stop control steps, giving precise creative control over light intensity for different lighting scenarios. The built in 40 W bi colour LED modelling lamp provides continuous light with adjustable brightness and colour temperature from 2800 K to 7000 K, ideal for combined stills and video use.

Battery & Runtime

The monolight is powered by a rechargeable 43.2 Wh lithium ion battery capable of approximately 400 full power flashes or up to 50 minutes of continuous LED light on a single charge. The battery is user replaceable and fully recharge in about 90 minutes using the included chargers, supporting fast workflow on location.

Performance & Flash Characteristics

The B20 unit boasts with fast recycle times, enabling shot to shot readiness in as little as 0.01 seconds up to around 1.2 seconds depending on flash mode and power setting. Three flash modes are provided: Eco for consistent performance and extended battery life, Boost for extra power, and Freeze for ultra short flash duration to help eliminate motion blur. Colour temperature remains stable through the power range for reliable exposure and colour.

Connectivity & Control

Wireless control is supported through built in Profoto AirX on the 2.4 GHz band. This allows remote triggering, high speed sync (HSS), TTL control and group/channel management via compatible Profoto Air triggers, and is compatible with Android and iOS apps (Profoto Camera and Profoto Control) using Bluetooth. The unit also has an optical receiver, a 3.5 mm sync port and a USB C service port for firmware updates.

Build, Usability & Accessories

The B20 OCF head are designed to be compact, lightweight and rugged, with a rubberised exterior that improves grip and durability in challenging conditions. Flash tubes are user replaceable to reduce downtime on set. The unit is fully compatible with over 120 Profoto light shaping tools and modifiers, including the RFi series, giving extensive creative flexibility. The head includes a stand adapter and protective cap.
