Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2.8 R WR Lens (Black)

The First View Reborn

The natural view of a 23mm lens (the focal length on the very first X Series camera) has been used to create countless everyday masterpieces. Now, the compact form and functionality of the original fixed lens has inspired a compact, interchangeable option: XF23mm f/2.8 R WR. Offering a weather-resistant build, smooth autofocus, and high resolution capability, it’s simply a joy to use and barely noticeable when it’s attached to an X Series camera body.

Portability Without Compromise

Thanks to advanced manufacturing techniques, XF23mm f/2.8 R WR is so slim and portable you’ll want to take it anywhere and everywhere. Its construction of eight elements, in six groups, includes two aspherical lenses, yet it weighs just 90g and measures a mere 23mm in length.

But this compact portability does not compromise usability. A knurled ring at the base of the lens ensures a secure grip for easy handling, while a thin space placed between the aperture and focus rings make for easy adjustment of either setting when composing through the viewfinder. Packed with thoughtful features, this lens delivers a stress-free creative experience.

Remarkable Everyday

XF23mm f/2.8 R WR may be a new addition to the family of X Mount lenses, but it follows a long history of other 23mm lenses that also find their origin stories connected to the original X100 fixed lens camera. Offering exactly the same angle of view that is very similar to our own eyesight, XF23mm f/2.8 R WR joins XF23mm f/1.4 R LM WR and XF23mm f/2 R WR in establishing new standards for creativity with a lens that combines remarkable compactness with modern optical design to bring clarity and brilliance to any beautiful moment.

Uncompromised Quality

Unlike many compact, lightweight lenses, XF23mm f/2.8 R WR makes no compromises on image quality. Leveraging advanced manufacturing techniques refined through the development G Mount lenses, its optical construction, with two aspherical lenses, minimises aberrations from centre to edge for outstanding resolution. With an 11-blade aperture, it also delivers beautifully rounded bokeh for a smooth, sumptuous background blur.

Get Close to What You Love

XF23mm f/2.8 R WR lets you get close to the things you love, so you can fill the frame with smiles, flowers, food, or any of your favourite moments. By optimising the angle of entry that directs light to the imaging sensor, this lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 20cm, which enables XF23mm f/2.8’s solitary group of focusing elements to provide consistent autofocus performance and deliver incredible image quality with minimal aberration variances across different subject distances.

Fast, Smooth Autofocus

A compact lens that feels almost weightless deserves autofocus so smooth you barely notice it working. With a design of eight elements in six groups, that includes a dedicated group of focusing elements, minimal movement is need to acquire focus, which allows the lens’s DC motor to deliver consistent autofocus performance at uncompromised speeds.

Ready for Anything

Creativity doesn’t stop in bad weather, but with XF23mm f/2.8 R WR you can leave your raincoat at home. Its weather-resistant design is built to handle harsh conditions, including moisture and temperatures as low as -10°C. A lens hood is also included for further protection against impact and dust. Create with peace of mind, whenever and wherever you wish!
