Lens Adaptor Ring for Aluminum Holder
This adaptor ring is used to attach the 85mm or 100mm Formatt-Hitech Aluminum Holder systems to the different thread diameters of your individual lenses. Available in both Standard Threaded for telephoto/standard focal length lenses and Wide Angle rings with recessed threads to bring the holder a few millimetres closer to your lens, reducing the chance of vignetting.

Formatt Hitech holder systems feature rugged aluminium backplates with modular stages that hold up to three filters, plus an optional adaptor plate for using a circular polariser. The holder mounts to a lens via a front screw adaptors with the included brass thumbscrew, meaning it attaches securely but can be attached or removed gently, without disturbing the lens.
Why Use a Holder System
A holder system allows you to purchase one set of filters to fit all of your lenses. An inexpensive adaptor ring is then used to fit the different thread diameters of your individual lenses. The holder system is quickly and easily removed allowing you to quickly compose your image, then gently install the holder before taking the photograph without the fear of altering the framing or focus. Holders allow filter stacking, plus rotation of horizon and vertical adjustment of graduated filters. Polarisers work with holder systems using an optional adaptor ring.
