Dual-Mode Cameras
Seamlessly switch between a standard, single-lens 4K60 camera and a 360° 8K60 HDR camera. The single-lens camera captures the dynamic, fast-paced FPV footage the Avata line is known for, while the 360° lens opens up aerial filming to new dimensions. With 1"-equivalent sensors, HDR, and large 2.4 μm pixels, 360° footage is incredibly clear and realistic, with excellent separation of light and shadow.
The 360° camera records everything as the Avata 360 flies, effectively removing the drone from the footage. This means you can fly once and later use footage from behind or to the side of the Avata 360, reframe your main shot after the fact, and more. As you fly, you can also rotate and tilt the view infinitely to look around, flip the view, switch from standard to Asteroid effects, or create a dolly zoom effect. In addition to 8K60 video, you can capture 120MP 16K 360° photos, with the same reframing ability to save multiple still images at different angles from a single shot.
Subject Tracking
The Avata 360 introduces ActiveTrack 360 and Spotlight, subject tracking technologies designed to help both beginners and professionals capture cinematic shots effortlessly.
- ActiveTrack 360 automatically selects the optimal tracking mode. For example, Standard maintains a steady distance and altitude relative to the subject, while Cycling reacts faster to turns while keeping the subject in focus and in frame.
- Spotlight locks onto a subject with the Avata 360's nose facing them, keeping the subject in frame while performing pre-programmed movements such as Circle or Dronie. Spotlight Free allows complete freedom to fly around the subject while keeping it locked, enabling complex manoeuvres without worrying about framing.
FPV Gimbal Mode
This mode adds a natural roll effect to Spotlight Free, ActiveTrack 360, and manual flight, producing an FPV-style look that conveys a sense of speed. It can also be applied in post-production.
Stabilised Footage
Capturing steady footage from a fast-paced FPV drone like the Avata 360 can be challenging, which is why DJI incorporates RockSteady and HorizonSteady stabilisation.
- RockSteady provides pure stabilisation, compensating for high speeds and windy conditions, available in both 360° and Single-Lens modes.
- HorizonSteady locks onto the horizon during horizontal rotation up to 360°, available only in 360° mode, for more precise horizon control.
Even Safer Flying
The Avata 360 upgrades the previous generation’s binocular vision sensors to fully omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Vision Assist offers a full-colour 1080p view from front, back, and side sensors to keep you aware of your surroundings. At night, forward-facing LiDAR and omnidirectional obstacle sensing, available even in 360° mode, help you safely film nightscapes. These features complement the integrated propeller guards that the Avata is known for.
O4+ Transmission
With anti-interference capabilities, the O4+ system streams a clear and stable live feed from the Avata 360 in 1080p60 resolution from up to 20 km away.
DJI Fly and Studio
Both the DJI Fly and Studio apps enhance your footage while effortlessly tracking people, vehicles, boats, and more with the Avata 360. Features include:
- GyroFrame: Move your phone to find and lock in a specific camera angle, then export with a single tap.
- One-Tap Reframing: Easily add camera movement effects in both apps.
- Multi-Platform Editing: Full editing capabilities, with Studio providing a seamless workflow. Optional Adobe Premiere plugin also available.
Motion Fly More Combo
This version of the Avata 360 enhances the FPV experience with DJI Goggles N3 and the DJI RC Motion 3 controller. The goggles provide the thrill of a virtual cockpit, now extending beyond a locked forward view. Engage head tracking and 360° mode to look all around the drone, fully immersing yourself.
The single-handed RC Motion 3 allows intuitive, beginner-friendly gesture control and easy acrobatics. Flip the stick to perform front, back, or “juicy” flips in mid-air. The Fly More Combo bundle keeps you flying longer, including two extra intelligent flight batteries, for a total of three, a two-way charging hub, and a sling bag.
