Dual-Mode Cameras
Seamlessly switch between a standard single-lens 4K60 camera and a 360° 8K60 HDR camera. The single-lens camera captures the dynamic, fast-paced FPV footage the Avata line is known for, while the 360° lens opens aerial filming to new dimensions. With 1-inch equivalent sensors, HDR, and large 2.4 μm pixels, 360° footage is exceptionally clear and realistic, with strong light and shadow separation.
The 360° camera captures everything as the Avata 360 flies, removing the drone from the footage in the process. This means you can fly once and use footage from behind or beside the drone, reframe your main shot after the fact, and more. As you fly, you can infinitely rotate and tilt the view, flip perspectives, zoom from standard to asteroid effects, or create a dolly zoom effect. In addition to 8K60 video, you can capture 120 MP 16K 360° photos, with the same reframing flexibility to produce multiple still images from different angles in a single shot.
Subject Tracking
Another new feature for the Avata 360 is ActiveTrack 360 and Spotlight. These subject-tracking technologies help beginners and professionals capture cinematic shots with ease.
ActiveTrack 360 automatically selects the optimal tracking mode, such as Standard for maintaining a steady distance and altitude relative to the subject, or Cycling, which reacts faster to turns while keeping the subject in focus and framed.
Spotlight locks onto a subject with the Avata 360’s nose facing them, keeping them in frame while you perform pre-programmed movements such as Circle or Dronie. Spotlight Free locks onto a subject while giving you complete freedom to fly around it, allowing you to focus on complex movements without needing to keep the camera centred.
FPV Gimbal Mode
This mode adds a natural roll effect to Spotlight Free, ActiveTrack 360, and manual flight. It is designed to deliver an FPV-style look that conveys a strong sense of speed. It can also be applied in post-production.
Stabilised Footage
Steady footage from a fast-moving FPV drone like the Avata 360 can be difficult to achieve, which is why DJI includes RockSteady and HorizonSteady. RockSteady provides strong stabilisation to compensate for high speeds and windy conditions and is available in both 360° and single-lens modes. HorizonSteady locks the horizon during full 360° rotation and is available only in 360° mode.
Even Safer Flying
The Avata 360 upgrades previous-generation binocular vision sensors with fully omnidirectional obstacle sensing. It also includes Vision Assist, providing a full-colour 1080p view from front, rear, and side sensors for improved awareness. At night, forward-facing LiDAR and omnidirectional sensing help support safer filming of night scenes, even in 360° mode. These systems are complemented by integrated propeller guards, for which the Avata series is known.
O4+ Transmission
With strong anti-interference capability, the O4+ system streams a stable 1080p60 live feed from up to 20 km away.
DJI Fly and Studio
Both the DJI Fly and Studio apps help enhance footage while tracking people, vehicles, boats, and more with the Avata 360°. Key features include:
- GyroFrame: move your phone to find and lock a camera angle, then export with one tap.
- One-Tap Reframing: add camera movement effects instantly.
- Multi-Platform Editing: full editing tools in both apps, with Studio offering a complete workflow. You can also edit in Adobe Premiere with an optional plugin.
Fly More Combo with RC 2
This version of the Avata 360 includes the RC 2 remote controller and Fly More Combo accessories. The RC 2 receives a live feed from the drone and displays it on its built-in 5.5-inch (14 cm) 1080p60 touchscreen display. The Fly More Combo includes two additional intelligent flight batteries (three in total), a two-way charging hub, and a sling bag.
Additional Details
Enjoy dual-channel 1080p60 colour video transmission as the main feed. Fly in manual mode with Easy ACRO. The drone features a replaceable front lens element and 42 GB of internal storage, equivalent to around 30 minutes of 8K 360° video. It supports Wi-Fi 6 high-speed transfer and Bluetooth wake-up for transfers at up to 100 MB/s. Maximum flight time is up to 23 minutes.
