The Canon 14mm Sumire Prime T3.1 is a wide-angle full-frame cinema lens designed to deliver immersive, cinematic imagery. Its subtle rendering and precise manual control make it ideal for creative storytelling, while the fast T3.1 aperture allows for excellent low-light performance. This lens minimises focus breathing and produces smooth bokeh when paired with other Sumire primes.

The interchangeable PL mount ensures broad compatibility with 35mm full-frame and Super 35mm cameras, and EF conversion is possible at authorised service centres. A large image circle and unified warm colour tone allow for consistent visual balance across lenses. The carefully engineered focus resistance and 300-degree rotation provide precise control, and the lens is compatible with 105mm front filters for added creative flexibility.

Specially designed ‘cinematic look’

A unique optical design offers a nuanced look at the lens’ wider aperture settings, subtly modifying textural renderings for pleasing bokeh with superb expressiveness.

The lens offers wide compatibility options for PL mount 35mm Full-Frame and Super 35mm cameras and can be changed to an EF mount at any authorized service facility.

Unified warm colour tone

Sumire primes inherit the same subtle warm colour tone from the Canon cinema lens range, making it easy to change lenses without affecting colour balance.

Fast and bright with beautiful bokeh

A fast T-number is thanks to a large lens diameter and together with an 11-blade iris, offers richer levels of bokeh. The lens design also significantly reduces focus breathing.

Fine focusing with filter and gear consistency

With carefully developed focus resistance, delicate focus adjustments can be made over a 300-degree rotation angle. All lenses in the series except the 14mm accept a 105mm diameter threaded filter in the front of the lens.
