Built for Professional Editors
The DaVinci Resolve Editor Keyboard is a full-sized, metal-built keyboard made for editors who work long hours and want something sturdier and more complete than the smaller Speed Editor. It combines a proper QWERTY layout with dedicated editing controls, so you get everything in one device instead of switching between a keyboard and a separate control surface.
Comfort and Build Quality
The keys have a tiered profile rather than sitting flat, so your fingers can find their way around without needing to look down. Underneath, the switches are the same type used in eSports keyboards, each rated for over a million presses, so they're built to handle constant daily use without wearing out. There's also a padded hand rest included, which makes a real difference if you're sitting at the keyboard for hours on end.
Revised QWERTY Layout
The QWERTY layout itself has been reworked using feedback from working editors. It keeps all the familiar editing functions on the cut and edit pages, including JKL trimming for playback, but adds a few extras. Llike a dedicated viewer button that jumps straight to full-screen editing.
Search Dial Control
The search dial is another standout. It's machined metal with a rubber coating, so it feels solid rather than plasticky, and it uses an electronic clutch to create proper end stops when shuttling. You can jog it for frame-accurate scrubbing, shuttle through footage forward and back, or scroll to move quickly through a long timeline.
Timecode Entry
For anyone doing precise numeric edits, there's a dedicated timecode keypad with F/TC and double-zero buttons, plus separate plus/minus keys for offset entry and a DUR button for setting exact clip durations fast.
Flexible Setup
Unlike other DaVinci keyboards, this one can also be installed flush into a desk or console cutout, giving it a clean, built-in look or just used on a desktop with fold-out feet for a better typing angle.
