Outdoorphoto is an approved online reseller of Apple products. We do not carry out repairs, technical testing, or hardware servicing of Apple devices. All repair and technical support needs are handled by Apple's official service infrastructure in South Africa, primarily through iStore.

Terms & Conditions - Apple Products Sold by Outdoorphoto

These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') apply specifically to the sale of Apple-branded products (including MacBooks, iMacs, Mac accessories, and related items) through Outdoorphoto's online store at www.outdoorphoto.co.za. By placing an order for an Apple product, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

These Terms are governed by South African law, including the Consumer rotection Act No. 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act No. 25 of 2002. 

1. Role of Outdoorphoto 

1.1  Outdoorphoto operates as an online reseller and distributor of Apple products. We are not an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP), Apple Premium Reseller, or Apple retail store. 

1.2  Outdoorphoto does not carry out repairs, technical diagnostics, hardware testing, or servicing of Apple products. Customers requiring repair or technical support must contact iStore South Africa or another Apple Authorised Service Provider directly. 

1.3  All Apple products sold by Outdoorphoto are genuine, new, and sourced through legitimate distribution channels. 

2. Product Authenticity & Specifications 

2.1  All Apple products listed and sold on www.outdoorphoto.co.za are genuine Apple products in their original factory-sealed packaging. 

2.2  Product specifications, features, and prices are subject to change without notice, in line with updates from Apple or changes in our pricing structure. 

2.3  While we make every effort to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate, minor discrepancies may exist. If in doubt, contact us before placing your order. 

2.4  Outdoorphoto products are intended for use in South Africa and conform to South African electrical standards (230V, Type M plug). We cannot guarantee compatibility or warranty coverage for products purchased for use in other countries. 

3. Pricing & Payment 

3.1  All prices listed are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT at the current statutory rate. 

3.2  Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price at the time of checkout is the binding price for that transaction. 

3.3  Outdoorphoto accepts the payment methods listed on our website at the time of checkout. All payments must be successfully processed before an order is confirmed and dispatched. 

3.4  For EFT payments, goods will only be dispatched once the payment has cleared in Outdoorphoto's bank account. Proof of payment alone does not constitute cleared payment. 

3.5  In the event of a pricing error on our website, Outdoorphoto reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund. 

4. Order Confirmation & Acceptance 

4.1  Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Your order is only accepted and a binding contract is formed once you receive an official order confirmation email from Outdoorphoto. 

4.2  Outdoorphoto reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at any time, including after confirmation, in circumstances such as: 

  • The product is no longer available or has been discontinued 
  • A pricing error has occurred 
  • Payment cannot be verified 
  • The order appears fraudulent or does not comply with our policies 

4.3  In the event of cancellation by Outdoorphoto, a full refund will be processed within 7-10 business days. 

5. Delivery 

5.1  Outdoorphoto uses accredited courier services to deliver Apple products throughout South Africa. 

5.2  Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. Outdoorphoto will not be liable for delays caused by courier services, public holidays, load-shedding, natural events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. 

5.3  Delivery is to the address provided by the customer at checkout. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure a valid and accurate delivery address is supplied. 

5.4  Risk of loss and damage passes to the customer upon delivery and acceptance of the product. If a product appears damaged on delivery, do not sign off on acceptance, contact us immediately. 

5.5  Outdoorphoto is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after confirmed delivery to the address provided. 

6. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges 

6.1  In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008, customers may return products under the following conditions: 

  • Within 5 business days of delivery for change-of-mind returns (Section 44, ECT Act), where the product is in its original sealed condition
  • Within 6 months of purchase for defective products (Section 56, CPA), with the right to choose repair, replacement, or refund

6.2  To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met: 

  • Products must be returned with all original accessories, manuals, and packaging 
  • The original tax invoice/proof of purchase must accompany the return 
  • Products must not show signs of physical damage caused by the customer 
  • Products must not have been modified, repaired, or tampered with  

6.3  A restocking/repackaging fee may be levied on unsealed products returned for reasons other than defects. This fee covers the cost of restoring the product for resale and will be communicated to the customer prior to processing. 

6.4  Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of Outdoorphoto receiving and inspecting the returned product. 

6.5  Outdoorphoto will not accept returns on products that have been physically damaged by the customer, show signs of unauthorised repair, or are missing components. 

7. Apple Manufacturer Warranty 

7.1  All Apple products sold by Outdoorphoto include Apple's standard manufacturer's limited warranty (typically 1 year for Mac products, varying for accessories). 

7.2  Apple's manufacturer warranty is administered directly by Apple and its authorised service providers (iStore). Outdoorphoto is not responsible for processing, administering, or fulfilling Apple's warranty claims. 

7.3  For warranty claims, customers must contact iStore South Africa directly at www.istore.co.za or visit their nearest iStore branch. The original proof of purchase (tax invoice) from Outdoorphoto will be required. 

7.4  Apple's warranty does not cover: 

  • Accidental damage (drops, liquid damage, cracks not caused by a manufacturing defect) 
  • Damage caused by third-party software, modifications, or unauthorised repairs 
  • Normal wear and tear, including battery degradation over time 
  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) not caused by manufacturing defects 

7.5  Customers may also purchase AppleCare+ for extended coverage and accidental damage protection. This must be purchased directly through Apple's official channels. 

7.6  Repaired or replaced parts under Apple's warranty assume the remaining warranty period or 90 days from the repair date, whichever is longer. 

8. Repairs Disclaimer 

8.1  Outdoorphoto does not carry out repairs on Apple products and is not an Apple Authorised Service Provider. 

8.2  Any attempts by the customer to repair their Apple product using third-party service providers may void Apple's manufacturer warranty. Outdoorphoto strongly recommends using only Apple Authorised Service Providers such as iStore. 

8.3  Outdoorphoto accepts no liability for damage resulting from unauthorised repairs, third-party modifications, or attempts to service the device outside of Apple's authorised channels. 

9. Data & Privacy 

9.1  Apple products may store personal data. Outdoorphoto strongly advises customers to back up all data and sign out of their Apple ID / iCloud account before returning any product. 

9.2  Outdoorphoto will not be held responsible for any loss, corruption, or exposure of personal data stored on a returned or exchanged device. 

9.3  Outdoorphoto processes customer personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) No. 4 of 2013. Please refer to our Privacy Policy at www.outdoorphoto.co.za for full details. 

10. Limitation of Liability 

10.1  To the maximum extent permitted by applicable South African law, Outdoorphoto's liability to a customer in connection with an Apple product purchase is limited to the purchase price paid for that product. 

10.2  Outdoorphoto will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the purchase or use of Apple products, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or loss of business. 

10.3  Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies the customer may have under the Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008 or any other applicable South African legislation. 

11. Intellectual Property 

11.1  Apple, MacBook, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, Apple Watch, iPad, iPhone, AirPods, and all related names, logos, and product designs are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in South Africa and other countries. 

11.2  Outdoorphoto uses these trademarks solely for the purpose of identifying the products it sells and does not claim ownership of or affiliation with Apple Inc. beyond its role as an approved reseller. 

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution 

12.1  These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. 

12.2  In the event of a dispute, customers are encouraged to first contact Outdoorphoto directly to seek resolution. 

12.3  If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, customers may refer the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) or the relevant consumer court with jurisdiction.

13. Amendments to These Terms 

13.1  Outdoorphoto reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on our website and will take effect from the date of publication.

13.2  Continued use of our website or purchase of products after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
