It accommodates two EN-EL15-type batteries for nearly twice the battery life and has a hot-swappable battery slot for on-the-fly battery changes. A USB Type-C port is featured, for connecting to an external power source or for tethering or connecting the camera to other equipment. The grip's design also incorporates a secondary shutter release, control dials, and a function button for more intuitive shooting control.
