Wow! What a convenient and versatile tripod. It folds so much more compactly than I ever thought possible and comes with a neat carry-bag. I was surprised to find that the legs can splay out flat and wide for those really low down shots. Thankfully my camera has a fold-out screen or this position would have me lying flat out on the ground. I needed to do an overhead steady shot and my regular tripod just does not have that ability. The ball head on the Traveller worked a treat. Smooth and can be tightened firmly enough not to cause slipping and creeping out of position. I have been used to the clip latch type of leg release system, these screw release leg fastenings were quite revolutionary and I actually prefer this system. Unfolding the stands did take a bit of figuring out but once learnt, it is easy to do and will be more smooth as the catches get used a bit more. The unit is light enough for a smaller female to consider always taking it with as a tripod can be a burden to drag along on photo expeditions. I think my other tripods are about to be relegated to the cupboard or used for light stands at home. A thumbs up to Manfrotto on a wonderful product.
