It features a newly developed optical design and an STM motor that delivers impressively quiet, fast and smooth autofocus performance. The 5.5 stops Optical Image Stabiliser, or 7 stops with coordinated IS, reduces camera shake for handheld photos and smooth, steady filming even in low light conditions. A combined focus and lens control ring enables you to fine tune ISO, aperture or AF modes or implement manual focus to reach down to 12.8cm for 0.52x magnification.
