Offering multimedia fluency within a compact design, the silver Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III is a sleek camera distinguished by its advanced sensor design and flexible imaging capabilities. Its 20.1MP 1" CMOS sensor uses a stacked design, which pairs with the DIGIC 8 image processor to realize especially fast focusing performance, full-resolution shooting at up to 20 fps, and UHD 4K30p video recording. Optically, the G7 X Mark III houses a 4.2x zoom lens, which covers a 24-100mm equivalent focal length range for wide-angle to short-telephoto fields of view. An f/1.8-2.8 maximum aperture range suits working in difficult lighting conditions as does an Optical Image Stabilizer, which compensates for the effects of camera shake. The camera's slim design also incorporates a 3.0" 180° tilting touchscreen LCD and has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wirelessly connecting to a mobile device.

Thinking about taking your vlogging, or picture taking skills from a smartphone to another level? The compact PowerShot G7 X Mark III camera puts exciting capabilities from Live Streaming services* directly to YouTube™, to vertical video shooting, right in the palm of your hands. Its 20.1 MegapixelPIXELThe shortening of 'picture element', a basic unit of programmable colour forming the dots that make up an image. Pixel size depends on a camera’s resolution, which is measured in megapixels (MP), meaning millions of pixels. The more pixels on a sensor, the smaller they have to be to fit. An image's number (or density) of pixels correlate to the amount of information and image holds. Cameras with more pixels on the sensor have a higher pixel density and thus more resolving power, able to capture smaller details with much more clarity and accuracy. Higher resolution images can be cropped more agressively and also produce better quality large prints. 1.0-inch stacked CMOS Sensor combined with the powerful DIGIC 8 Processor helps to produce high image quality for amazing results at a fast operation. Equipped with 4K recording capability, and an external microphone terminal, The PowerShot G7 X Mark III camera delivers crisp, sharp videos with minimal sound distortion. Capture close-ups of your selfies, wide shots and everything in between with its impressive 4.2x Optical Zoom and a lens apertureAPERTUREAperture, shutter speed and ISO form what is known as the exposure triangle in photography. Aperture refers to an opening inside the lens, similar to the iris of your eye, that changes in diameter to control the amount of light that enters a camera. Aperture is expressed in f-stops: the lower the number, the larger the aperture, e.g. f/1.4 is larger than f/8. A larger (or wider) aperture allows more light to pass through the lens to the sensor (film) as a picture is taken, particularly useful in low-light conditions. A larger aperture also produces a shallower depth-of-field, and thus more background blur. of f/1.8 (wide) to f/2.8 (tele). Combining incredible zoom power with 4K video capabilities, the PowerShot G7 X Mark III camera makes it easy to create stunning videos and still images you will want to share with your friends, Social Media followers, and family.

20.1 Megapixel 1.0” Stacked CMOS Sensor

The PowerShot G7 X Mark III camera features a new 1.0-inch 20.1 Megapixel stacked CMOS sensor, which helps achieve high image quality and high performance at the same time, delivering gorgeous, detailed images. It also enables fast continuous shooting and fast autofocus that helps you capture important moments.

DIGIC 8 Image Processor

The DIGIC 8 Image Processor helps produce high image quality and fast operation, even in in low light. When using high ISO ISO Exposure is controlled by three elements: Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. The ISO speed determines how sensitive a camera's sensor is to incoming light. A higher ISO speed absorbs more light, resulting in a brighter exposure, however, a higher ISO also results in more digital noise in low-light conditions. Cameras with larger sensors (like full-frame cameras) typically have higher ISO speed capability and produce less digital noise at high ISO settings. Digital cameras include a control for adjusting ISO speed, some of which can be set to adjust automatically in combination with certain other exposure settings. ISO is indicated in numbers usually starting at 100 and going upward (200, 400, 800, 1600 etc.) doubling in sensitivity each time. Most cameras also indicate 3rd stop intervals (100, 125, 180, 200 etc.)settings, the image processor helps keep results sharp and detailed in virtually any lighting situation. Powerful all around, the DIGIC 8 Image Processor helps ensure your photos and videos look sharp and lifelike with minimal noiseNOISEThe appearance of random pixels scattered over a photo, similar to the grain effect seen in film photography, which degrades photo quality almost as if it is stained. It occurs when taking photos in low-light conditions, with very slow shutter speeds on high sensitivity (ISO) settings. It is caused by amplification done by the sensor when high ISO settings are used. You can counteract digital noise by lowering the sensitivity (ISO) setting of your camera - the lower the ISO setting, the lower the noise in the image. Typically cameras with larger sensors (like full-frame cameras) will inherently produce less noise due to larger pixels on the sensor. or grain.

4.2x Optical Zoom LensZOOM LENSAllows a camera to, unlike a fixed-focal length or prime lens, change smoothly from a long shot to a close-up or vice versa by varying the focal length. A true zoom lens, also called a parfocal lens, is one that maintains focus when its focal length changes. Due to more moving parts, zoom lenses often produce images of slightly lesser quality than their prime lens counterparts. However due to the inherent flexibility of being able to vary the focal length, they are extremely popular for photography where composition needs to be adapted quickly - such as at weddings, for example. (24-100mm f/1.8-2.8) with Optical Image Stabiliser

With a 4.2x optical zoom lens, a range of 24–100mm, advanced Optical Image Stabilisation and an aperture range of f/1.8(wide)- f/2.8 (telephotoTELEPHOTOA lens with long focal length capable of making distant objects appear nearer thus larger. Essentially, it isolates and magnifies the subject so that it appears as a full image when shooting from a distance. Telephoto lenses are ideal for photographing subjects that are further away, such as wildlife and sports photography.), the PowerShot G7 X Mark III camera is suitable for group photographs, and even close-up photography. The PowerShot G7 X Mark III’s lens works in conjunction with the camera's sensor and image processor to help deliver sharp images from edge to edge and from wide-angle to telephoto.
