This universal L-bracket mirrorless facilitates advanced functionality for precision shots.
Ellie is a new evolution of universal L-Bracket, bringing users increased compatibility with a wider range of cameras and advanced functionality.
L-Brackets are primarily used to switch from landscape to portrait on a tripod whilst maintaining the focal plane and horizon. Ellie PD is specifically designed to work with Peak Design's Capture Clip system*. It features a standard Arca Swiss compatible footing that clips securely into the Capture.
Compatible with standard Arca-Swiss clamps, Ellie features two different 2 screw mount slots in the base. This allows users to position the L-Bracket in the optimal position for their camera. The length of the bracket base can be adjusted thanks to two rigid stainless steel sliding bars which are then fixed into position by the user with the supplied tool. The rear edge of the base is sloped to better enable screen access. Ellie’s vertical aspect has an opening in one side, allowing users with L-shaped cable pins to connect accessories. This opening can be placed in one of four positions by inverting or reversing the vertical aspect.

Vertical and horizontal component
The copper orange Ellie-PD Universal L-Bracket with Peak Design Capture-Compatible Base from 3 Legged Thing is Arca-type compatible with dovetail mounts on its vertical and horizontal components. Therefore, you are given the ability to switch between each axis while it maintains your centre of the axis. The horizontal base plate separates and adjusts from its vertical component to accommodate the length of the mirrorless or DSLR camera you are using, and there are two mounting slots to precisely position the camera on top of the base.
Rocker mount for the camera
The horizontal base's rear slopes down so mobility is maintained for the camera's LCD monitor. The vertical component is machined to have access to the camera's ports and can be mounted in the reverse to allow cables to plug-in from the right or left side. At the same time, the side plate can mount upside down so it creates a rocker mount for the camera. A strap loop located on the side allows for a hand or shoulder strap to be attached.
