Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera (Body, Black)

By developing the 20M Live MOS sensor together with the TruePic VIII image processor, not only has image quality exponentially improved from past OM-D models, but a high-speed performance of 18 fps in AF/AE tracking and 60 fps in AE/AF lock has been realised with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II.
The electronic viewfinder provides a smooth and fast display at a 120-fps frame rate and a 0.005-second display time lag, so you will never miss a shot. These cutting-edge technologies are packed into a compact, lightweight and weather-resistant body, allowing you to shoot beautiful images in the most brutal environments.
In addition to all of the functions the camera comes with, firmware updates will become available to further enhance photographic performance.
High-speed performance that can capture split-second moments
The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II features unparalleled, amazing sequential shooting performance, an incredibly advanced high-speed AF system, and a high-speed viewfinder help you capture once-elusive split-second moments in high resolution.
Unrivalled mobility and ultimate reliability
A compact, lightweight body that is splashproof, dustproof, and freezeproof provides unrivalled mobility and ultimate reliability, allowing you to shoot in the most severe environments.
Top-class image quality
The Zuiko Lens Systems is known for its excellent optical performance. Maximising that performance are the 20M Live MOS sensor and TruePic VIII image processor. These combined with further improved image stabilisation technology, provides top-class image quality among interchangeable lens cameras.

More Features
This camera is packed with popular Olympus features such as a silent shooting mode, focus stacking, and Live Composite.
Silent Mode for silent shooting
The E-M1 Mark II is equipped with Silent Mode, which disables shutter sounds and electronic sounds for silent shooting. This feature is useful for concerts and other events where sounds are inappropriate.
Focus Stacking Mode
Focus stacking captures 8 photos of slightly different focus and then automatically merges them for a single photo in focus from the foreground to background.
Focus Bracketing Mode
M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro, f/7.1, 1/8 sec., Focus Step: 5, 8 images
In focus bracketing, the focal location is shifted slightly with each shutter activation for up to 999 shots. You can select from 10 levels of focus shift. Create photos that look like they belong in an encyclopedia by using photo software to composite images.
Long exposure photography produces spectacular imagery
Live Composite
Live Composite records only those areas that are newly bright, thus avoiding over-exposure which may occur with conventional bulb shooting. This feature allows the capture of beautiful nightscapes with star trails or fireworks in the background and buildings in the foreground. As with Live Bulb, you can confirm the progress of your shot on the rear monitor. Moreover, you can also use the flash to emphasise a moment during the exposure or a penlight to write letters. A maximum exposure of up to 3 hours is possible.
Live Bulb/Live Time
This function updates the display during exposure at a set interval. You can choose from two modes, Live Bulb that opens the shutter while the shutter button is pressed and Live Time that opens the shutter on the first push and closes it on the second push of the shutter button. While in Live Bulb mode, the screen displays the exposure time and a histogramme. When the Bulb/Time shooting mode is selected, the backlight is automatically dimmed to reduce the power consumption and brightness.
Keystone Compensation
Keystone Compensation is similar to using tilt-shift photography. In the OM-D E-M1 Mark II, vertical and horizontal trapezoidal compensation can be adjusted simultaneously as you confirm the results in Live View, prior to releasing the shutter. This feature can also be used to enhance perspective. Keystone Compensation is also available on the Olympus Viewer 3 software, so you can make small adjustments in post-production editing as well.
Fisheye Compensation
(Added feature in firmware V2.0)
The Fisheye Compensation function available in Olympus Viewer 3 is now available in-body. This feature makes it possible to shoot without the fisheye effect, using the M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm F1.8 Fisheye PRO as a wide-angle lens. You can shoot while confirming compensation effects on the monitor.
Flicker Scan
(Added feature in firmware V2.0)
Flicker Scan has been added for fine-tuning the shutter speed to reduce flicker effects. It is now possible to watch the monitor while selecting a shutter speed that does not cause flickering effects when using the electronic shutter.
Magnification factor selection during image playback and actual pixel size display
(Added feature in firmware V2.0)
You can now select the magnification factor (the value when the dial is initially turned one step) during playback. Actual pixel size has also been added to magnification factor options. This makes it possible to check recorded images more quickly.
Olympus Capture tethering software
The Olympus Capture tethering software was developed based on the requests of professional photographers and can be extremely useful for studio photography. The new TruePic VIII image processor and USB 3.0 compatibility provide for transfer speed from the E-M1 Mark II that is four times faster than its successor. Olympus Capture Ver. 1.2 supports the E-M1 Mark II’s 121-point AF area and dual card slots.
Compatible with USB 3.0 for high-speed transfer of large shooting data
- USB3.0: Easy to connect without worrying about the right position
- Cable Clip (CC-1): Helps prevent unintentional removal of the USB or HDMI cable from the camera body
- USB 3.0 (connector Type-C) is now supported for high-speed transfer of large shooting data. The included cable clip can be used to secure the cable and keep it from being disconnected.
Other new functions
Many new functions and user interface displays are included on the E-M1 Mark II.
- Preset MF: This function lets you instantly set the focus to your preferred position. (Distance setting values are rough estimates.)
- AF Home settings: Assign AF home settings to one of the buttons, program your most frequently used AF target position, AF Target mode, and AF mode as your AF Home settings, and pull them up simply by pressing the assigned button.
- Low shutter speed limit: This function lets you set the shutter speed at which the ISO setting begins to automatically rise when in ISO Auto. This is convenient for when you want to shoot at low ISO settings or high shutter speeds.
- Save settings/Mysets: Backing up camera settings on a computer lets you avoid having to reset them after a firmware upgrade.
- Assign save folder/new folder: This function lets you assign a folder on the memory card for saving recorded images. You can also create new folders. Doing so helps make image editing and management easier.
- Grid settings: You can change the colour of the grid to make shooting easier in dark locations such as stage performances.
- Date/time/second display: You can organise images up to second increments.
- Tab scroll menu: Scrolling a tab screen that collects separate genres makes it much easier to access the menu.
