A Palm-Size High-Power Flash

Although the Nissin i60A Flash for Canon is very compact in size (300 g) [without battery and softbox], it can still deliver a high power output of 60 GN (at ISO ISO Exposure is controlled by three elements: Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. The ISO speed determines how sensitive a camera's sensor is to incoming light. A higher ISO speed absorbs more light, resulting in a brighter exposure, however, a higher ISO also results in more digital noise in low-light conditions. Cameras with larger sensors (like full-frame cameras) typically have higher ISO speed capability and produce less digital noise at high ISO settings. Digital cameras include a control for adjusting ISO speed, some of which can be set to adjust automatically in combination with certain other exposure settings. ISO is indicated in numbers usually starting at 100 and going upward (200, 400, 800, 1600 etc.) doubling in sensitivity each time. Most cameras also indicate 3rd stop intervals (100, 125, 180, 200 etc.)100, 200mm zoom head position). Also, you can connect your i60A to an external power source to reduce the flash recycle time during constant high power output.

Wireless Flash System

NAS is Nissin’s newly developed 2.4 GHz radio transmission wireless flash system. Compared with the traditional optical wireless transmitters, 2.4 GHz radio transmission is less susceptible to angle and obstacle limitations and provides coverage of up to 30 m Nissin is famous for thinking outside the box. This includes the IDs technology in our newly developed NAS system. Radio transmission IDs give each of the NAS compatible devices a unique identity, and can be set to prevent misfiring in the event of signal interference on the same channel.

Selector Dial & Colour LCD Display

Combined with the Colour LCD display and selector dial design, the Nissin i60A Flash for Canon Cameras gives the user the most convenient way to take full control of the flash.

Focal LengthFOCAL LENGTHMeasured in mm, it is the distance from the focal point of a lens (its centre or curved mirror where light converges) to the plane of the image sensor (film) when an object is in focus. A shorter focal length lens sees a wider image and a longer focal length brings your subject closer. For example, a 15mm lens sees a very wide image and is perfect for landscape photography. Conversely, a 500mm lens sees a very narrow image, brings the subject much closer and is thus great for subjects that are far away, like a bird in a tree. With zoom lenses, its minimum and maximum focal lengths are indicated, for example, as 24-105mm. A zoom lens allows you to change the lens’ focal length, with shorter (wide-angle) and longer (telephoto) options, whereas a fixed focal length lens requires you to move back and forth to find the correct image composition. Range Coverage of 24-200mm, Soft Box Included in Package

The zoom range can auto or manually adjusts from 24mm-200mm. The flash comes equipped with a built-in diffuser that gives a 16mm lens coverage. A Softbox is included for the specially designed flash head, to soften the light output and reduce shadows. The user can extend and retract the Fill-in reflector (bounce card) even when the Soft Box is installed.

Various Functions

Professional flash head design

The flash head rotates horizontally 180° to right and left and tilts up 90°. This makes bounce shooting more arbitrary, with more angles that can be used

LED Video light

Nissin i60A has a video light function, which has 9 steps of output level adjustment.

Metal hot shoe & quick-release button

The Nissin i60A speedlite flash has a durable metal hotshot design (not available in Sony due to the limitation of the Multi Interface Shoe design) with a quick release button.  It is easy to install and reduces the chance of damage caused by installation.

*Not available in Sony.

High-Speed synchronization

This Canon speedflash supports up to 1/8,000 seconds shutter speedSHUTTER SPEEDAperture, shutter speed and ISO form what is known as the exposure triangle in photography. Shutter speed is the length of time that a single frame is exposed for, more specifically how fast the shutter opens and closes to permit light entering the lens, to reach the sensor. A slow shutter speed means a longer exposure time useful for motion blur like the silky look of flowing water, whereas a fast shutter speed means a shorter exposure time useful for freezing the appearance of motion in images like a hummingbird in flight. It is measured in seconds starting at 1 second and halving our doubling in time. For example: 1/2s, 1/4s and 1/8s are all fractions of a second with 1/2s being the longest exposure time, 1/4s half of that and 1/8s another half etc..

*The maximum synchronisation speed depends on the camera model, High-speed sync. function available in compatible cameras only, please refer to the compatibility chart: http://nissin.lekumo.biz/download/Nissin_Compatibility_Chart.pdf

Four size-AA batteries

The Nissin digital flash operates on 4 AA batteries.  This reduces the frequency of changing the batteries and lessens the recycling time.
