Three aspherical lens elements

Because of the distortion nature of ultra wide lenses, the Nikon AF-P 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G DX VR lens features three aspherical lens elements to correct distortion and reduce coma aberrations.

3.5-stop image stabilisation

The Vibration Reduction (VR) system in the Nikon AF-P 10-20mm DX VR lens reduces camera shake/movements to decrease blur. The VR system is rated at a 3.5-stop equivalent and enables users to shoot shutter speeds at up to 12 times slower than non-VR/IS lenses, and still get sharp and blur-free images.

Smooth, near-silent, fast autofocus

The AF-P 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G DX VR utilises Nikon's latest pulse motor to provide extremely fast and near silent focus. The motor brings subjects into focus almost instantly with great precision. When recording video, the lens smoothly shifts focus from subject to subject with practically no drive noise.

Internal focusing

Neither the lens barrel or the front element shifts or moves during focus. This allows the lens to be more compact allowing for compact, enables closer focusing, and makes using gradient filters effortless as the front element stays still/static.
