Optics Designed for Brighter Views
The Nikon PROSTAFF 3S 10x42 Binoculars feature an optical system created from lead-and-arsenic-free Eco-Glass. Multilayer coatings, which provide high light transmittance across the entire visible light spectrum, are applied for bright images. High-reflectivity silver-alloy mirror coatings are applied on the mirror surfaces of the prisms for a bright and clear view. This great optic design also sports a wide 63º apparent angle of view, which limits disorientation and apparent shake normally associated with large magnification binoculars. This improves the overall experience.
Long Eye Relief
Nikon has manufactured the PROSTAFF 3S 10x42 binoculars, as well as many other of its optics, with a high-eyepoint design for long eye relief without vignetting. Durable and Rubber-Armored Design
The Nikon PROSTAFF 3S 10x42 is built using a fibreglass reinforced body, making it extremely durable out in the field. This durable body is covered with a rugged rubber-armored coating which is textured to provide a non-slip grip, even in the wettest conditions. The barrels are nitrogen filled and o-ring sealed rendering the binoculars waterproof and fogproof.
