Nikon D5500 DSLR Camera Kit with 18-140mm VR Lens

The Nikon D5500 DSLR camera features a 24 megapixel sensor for high-resolution images. Nikon's first DLSR touch screen makes navigation easy and Wi-Fi lets you share images.
INCLUDES versatile and compact DX-format 7.8x zoom lens with 18-140mm focal range (35mm and Nikon FX-format equivalent: 27-210mm).
In With the New: LCD Touch Screen Monitor
The D5500 is Nikon’s first DSLR camera to include a vary-angle touch screen LCD screen that allows you to shoot from a wide variety of angles. If you wish, you can disable the screen during shooting so that you don’t accidentally change your camera settings and only view images during playback. The camera also ensures optimum playback with clever eye-sensor technology that knows when your eyes leaves the viewfinder, abruptly displaying your image. Even better, the screen turns off when you’re not using it, saving you battery time for more shots.
The “Touch Fn” button is assigned to the second “Fn” button so that you can easily set your ISO, AF-area and focal point, even even your viewfinder information, with a (thumb) touch of a button.
Compact & Versatile DX-format Zoom Lens
With a 7.8x zoom that's well-suited to a wide variety of subjects and a build that is compact and lightweight, the Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S ED VR DX lens makes a great all-rounder. The Vibration Reduction system minimises the effects of camera shake for blur-free images and helps to ensure a steady viewfinder image. Nikon's Silent Wave Motor enables fast, quiet AF.
- Wide to telephoto zoom range: An ideal walkabout lens, perfect for capturing everything from sweeping landscapes to detailed shots of distant subjects.
- High optical performance: One ED (extra-low dispersion) glass element and one aspherical lens element ensure high resolution and contrast while minimizing most forms of aberration and colour dispersion.
- Vibration Reduction (VR) system: Minimises the effects of camera shake and lets you shoot at shutter speeds that are up to four stops slower. VR operation is quiet, even when filming.
- Silent Wave Motor: SWM for fast, whisper-quiet autofocus. Compact and lightweight build with weather-sealed mount. Outstanding value for money.
