Nikon 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E AF-S ED Fisheye Lens
The AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED supports the 8-15 mm range of focal lengths and maximum apertures of f/3.5-4.5. With FX-format cameras, circular fisheye images with an angle of view of 180° vertical and horizontal are achieved when the lens is zoomed all the way out (wide-angle position). Zooming close to all the way in enables full-frame fisheye images with a diagonal angle of view of 180°. Moreover, full-frame fisheye images with diagonal angles of view up to 180° can be achieved in the range that begins at the DX mark on the lens and ends at the maximum telephoto position when shooting in DX format.

Dare to be Different
See faces and places with a dramatic view; 180° in circular and full-frame effects4. The AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED, the first NIKKOR fisheye zoom lens, is a high-performing and versatile lens for creative and elaborate imagery. Edge-to-edge clarity is promised even at a minimum focus distance of 0.16m, which means that photographers can approach their subjects up-close without compromising on quality and detail at the periphery.
The lens adopts two aspherical lens elements to effectively reduce sagittal coma flare, enhancing the accurate reproduction of point light sources located at the peripheries, even with the lens’ aperture set to the maximum.
Scenic and expressive landscapes are reproduced with sharp and clear rendering, thanks to the inclusion of Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements that minimise colour fringing caused by lateral chromatic aberration. This is paired with Nano Crystal Coat which effectively reduces flare and ghosting, reproducing splendid sunsets easily with the click of a shutter.
Attachment and removal of the lens hood and cap can be done together or separately, enabling quick responses to capture the fleeting moments. Realising the form of a highly agile and durable body, and protected with a fluorine coat for easy maintenance, this new NIKKOR fisheye zoom lens is perfect for the artist looking to challenge visual boundaries.
Nano Crystal Coat
The Nano Crystal Coat is an anti-reflective coating developed by Nikon that eliminates internal reflections across a wide range of wavelengths. the coat uses ultrafine, nano-sized crystal particles to eliminate reflections inside the lens throughout the spectrum of visible light waves in ways that far exceed the limits of conventional anti-reflection coating systems. Nano Crystal Coat not only solves ghost effects caused by red light, which was incredibly difficult for previous systems. It also effectively reduces ghost and flare effects caused by light entering the lens diagonally.
Fluorine coat
The front element of the Nikon AF-S 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED Fisheye lens features a protective fluorine coat. This highly durable coat effectively repels dust, water, grease (oil), fingerprints, and dirt. Additionally, the coat has superior anti-reflection characteristics that greatly reduces the chances of ghosting and/or flaring.
Super Integrated Coating
Nikon's Super Integrated Coating reduces the appearance of flare and ghosting in your images.
FX format
The Nikon AF-S 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED Fisheye is a full-frame (FX format) lens. Nikon's full frame lenses can be mounted on Nikon professional bodies (FX), or even cropped sensor (DX) bodies.
AF-S autofocus motor with internal focusing
Neither the lens barrel or the front element shifts or moves during focus. This allows the lens to be more compact and enables closer focusing.
Electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism
During high-speed continuous shooting the lens' electromagnetic diaphragm syncs with the camera shutter for remarkably consistent exposure. AF tracking is also improved, even for subjects with unpredictable or very fast movement.
Rounded 7-blade aperture diaphragm
A rounded 7-blade aperture diaphragm provides the Nikon AF-S 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED Fisheye lens with pleasant bokeh on out of focus areas
