The Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G AF-S ED is a wide-angle lens zoom for FX-format sensors. It is well-suited to travel, landscape and everyday walk-around shooting.The optical design employs a trio of aspherical elements and a pair of extra-low dispersion elements to control aberrations and distortions in order to realise a high degree of sharpness and clarity. A Super Integrated Coating also suppresses flare and ghosting to increase overall contrast and colour rendering when working in backlit and harsh lighting conditions. Also, a Silent Wave Motor enables fast, near-silent autofocus performance, along with full-time manual focus override, to benefit both stills and video applications.

The AF-S NIKKOR 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED is an FX-format, 1.9x ultra-wide-angle zoom lens with a focal length of 18-35mm. It weighs just 385g, delivering detail-rich images through a compact body. The lens is also designed with a Silent Wave Motor (SWM) for silent AF operation, which enhances the shooting experience. It is best used to capture landscapes, cityscapes and architecture.
The lens's optical system incorporates aspherical lens and ED glass elements which optimizes it for ultra-high-pixel-count DSLR cameras. A seven-blade iris diaphragm creates beautiful intentionally blurred images, while superior aberration correction reduces axial chromatic aberration and astigmatism.
