The X-T10 combines a rich array of imaging features with a classic, visceral design for both ease and enjoyment of use.
Recreating the colors of Fujifilm's photographic films
Film Simulation, perfected through Fujifilm's passion and philosophy of color reproduction over 80 years of photographic film manufacturing, allows users to create the colors and tones of photographic film, delivering high quality results with ease. If you shoot RAW, the in-camera RAW processing function enables any of the 11 Film Simulation options to be applied post-capture, broadening your shooting options. The expanded range of modes now includes CLASSIC CHROME, which was developed to meet the demands of Fujifilm X-Photographers worldwide.
Maximizing the power of APS-C-sized X-Trans™* CMOS II sensor
Due to the X-Trans CMOS II sensor architecture that eliminates the need for an optical low-pass filter (OLPF) and integrates FUJFILM's originally developed color filter array, the FUJIFILM X-T10 reproduces scenes with resolution and clarity rivaling a larger sensor. X-Trans CMOS II sensor incorporates an original color filter array with a highly random pattern, eliminating the need for an optical low-pass filter (OLPF). These filters are used in conventional systems to inhibit moiré at the expense of resolution. The X-Trans CMOS II sensor array lets the sensor capture unfiltered light from the lens, achieving an unprecedented level of resolution.
Lens Modulation Optimizer technology brings out the full potential of the XF lens.
The advanced Lens Modulation Optimizer (LMO) technology in the FUJIFILM X-T10 was made possible by the integrated development of the lens, sensor and processor. For each mounted lens, LMO high-precision processing of the lens focal length and aperture, as well as data from the screen center to the edges, corrects diffraction blur when shooting with a stopped down aperture and compensates for the slight blurring in the lens periphery. The result is edge-to-edge image quality with incredible sharpness and a sense of dimensional reality.
A remarkable leap in high sensitivity — maximum ISO of 51200
To broaden photographic opportunities in low-light scenes, you'll find an expanded sensitivity range, which now extends to an impressive ISO 51200. To combat noise at these ultra-high sensitivity settings, the arrangement of components and circuits around the sensor has been redesigned, keeping blacks black, with minimal grain and no color casts.
Ultra-fast electronic shutter
The camera features a mechanical shutter of up to 1/4000 sec as well as an electronic shutter of up to 1/32000 sec. This allows you to shoot with wide apertures even in bright sun to create beautiful bokeh effects. You can select either the mechanical shutter, electronic shutter or both.
High-speed AF with on-board phase detection pixels
The camera's Intelligent Hybrid AF system combines the excellent autofocus speed of Phase Detection AF with the strong low light performance of Contrast AF. The phase detection elements on the image sensor delivers autofocusing speeds of up to 0.06 sec*. A new algorithm has also enhanced performance in low light and low contrast conditions.
Faster together — the X-Trans CMOS II sensor and EXR Processor II.
The adoption of the dual CPU and improved computational performance has doubled the processing speed when compared with the previous generation processor, the start-up time has also improved to only approx. 0.5 sec. Working in tandem with the high-speed signal readout of the X-Trans CMOS II sensor, the processor reduces the shooting interval to 0.5 sec. and shutter time lag to 0.05 sec.
Continuous shooting with AF-C at 8.0 fps and advanced subject motion prediction
Features advanced subject motion prediction technology to predict the subject's movement using past data, enabling continuous shooting with AF-C at up to 8.0 fps.
Delivering a more accurate focusing performance
Single-point AF divides the focus area into smaller sections to more accurately determine the distance to the subject for even greater focusing accuracy. The built-in phase detection pixels have the detection range of 0.5EV, an improvement from the previous 2.5EV, delivering phase detection AF performance that enables fast focusing in low-light conditions and on low-contrast subjects.
Eye Detection AF - for more beautiful portraits
Activate Face Detection to automatically detect human faces and focus with Eye Detection AF to ensure accurate focus on human eyes, even when using a shallow depth-of-field. Combine these two functions to take your portrait photography to a new level.
Auto Macro - close-up photography has never been easier
The new AF system features an Auto Macro function that eliminates pressing the Macro button before shooting close-ups while maintaining the conventional AF speed. This update eliminates the Macro function assigned to the Macro Button, allowing you to assign a different function to the button.
Improved AF in the Movie mode for smoother video recording
The optimized algorithm delivers a more natural and smooth AF action during movie recording.
Control mode —Settings that help you enjoy photography more
Despite its compact size, the FUJIFILM X-T10 has a full set of controls. You can shoot in Program (P), Shutter Speed Priority (S), Aperture Priority (A) or Manual (M) by combining the Shutter Speed Dial with lens's aperture settings. The design allows quick and simple selection of exposure mode to suit each and every scene. Use the 1/3EV steps on the 3-stop exposure compensation dial for delicate exposure control. Exposure compensation can even be used when shooting in the Manual mode.
Auto mode —Capture premium quality photographs with ease
The top plate features a Auto Mode Switch Lever. Setting it to AUTO switches the camera into the Advanced SR AUTO mode, which automatically selects the optimum shooting settings from 58 preset scenes so you can take high-quality shots with ease. This function, which also automatically selects the optimum AF mode, is perfect for snapshots and occasions when you don't want to use the wrong settings by mistake. The rear Command Dial lets you select a scene type using your choice of scene-specific presets. The Auto Mode Switch Lever is conveniently located on the top plate.
