Softlite reflectors are also called "Beauty Dishes". Slightly harder lighting than a softbox, giving a better definition of facial features, they are perfect for close in beauty and portrait work. Use the included Deflector set to modify colour and softness.
Elinchrom studio kits
The Elinchrom Softlite 44cm Reflector (White) is a parabolic "Pan" reflector with adjustable deflector shield for eliminating specular light from the flash-tube, and re-directing it back into the reflector. It is useful for portrait and commercial photography where broad, soft, even lighting is required but has more crispness than a softbox.
This reflector fits any Elinchrom flash head and includes silver, gold, translucent and frost deflectors to cool, warm or diffuse the light output.
Optional separate purchases
The light can be further softened with the optional shower-cap Diffuser. Another optional extra, also sold separately, is the Softlite Grid – the grid gives you the possibility to control precisely the direction and spread of light while offering shaper shadows.
