The Elinchrom Softlite 44cm Reflector (Silver) is ideal for portrait and commercial photography where broad, soft, even lighting is required, but with more crispness than a softbox.
A silver deflector for neutral colour balance and a gold deflector for a warming effect are included to eliminate specular light from the flash tube and redirect it back into the reflector.
Silver beauty dish
Softlite reflectors are also called 'Beauty Dishes'. Slightly harder lighting than a softbox, giving a better definition of facial features, they are perfect for close-ups in beauty and portrait work. Use the included Deflector set to modify colour and softness.
Optional extras for more definition
The light can be further softened with the optional "shower-cap" diffuser (not included, purchase separately). Another optional extra is the Softlite Grid (not included, purchase separately) – the grid gives you the possibility to control precisely the direction and spread of light while offering shaper shadows.
