I love bird photography and this camera gives the balance of speed and quality the 32.5mp allows for images to be cropped and resized, keeping the detailed quality for larger prints. What I love is the fact that the autofocus system is great to track birds that normally move fast and yet the end result is kept sharp. This is an overall great camera for nature lovers.

Undoubtedly the best enthusiast/semi-professional crop sensor DSLR now available from any manufacturer. It is several steps up from the 77D, a radical improvement over the 80D, with the top resolution of 32MPix and CR3 raw format, in-camera lens aberration correction, very high-speed image processing, fastest frame rates, and the famous and superior Canon colours. It uses EF and EF-S lenses (not the newer RF lenses, or limited M lenses), and with a cheap adapter can use MANUAL Nikon lenses. (I have a 500mm mirror lens that cost a few hundred rands and produces the sharpest images, made for Nikon in the 1960s.) It does not have in-body image stabilisation but requires stabilised lenses. With a high sensitivity sensor (high ISO can be used) and fast shutter speed available even older, cheaper stabilised lenses are excellent. It is superior even to the 7D MII in most optics/picture taking/video features, although not as robust physically (plastic instead of metal alloy body, reduced weatherproofing) it is the perfect nature outdoor camera. If you have ever used a Canon, its menus and button placements are totally natural. As a Canon product - it works, has the largest range of lenses and third party accessories of any brand. Simply put, one of the last crop DSLRs that Canon will manufacture for the nature photographer enthusiast, I recommend it highly for years of use.
