World Photography Day: Celebrating a day in the life of a wedding photographer

Hi, I’m Anica Scholtz! Based in Tzaneen, Limpopo, I specialise in weddings, elopements and lifestyle sessions. In celebration of this year’s World Photography Day, I’d love for you to join in on a typical day in the life of a wedding photographer.

My day starts off with replying to some emails, balancing my own books and backing up folders.

When I’m done editing, I spend time carefully wrapping parcels and making sure they arrive safely and in one piece on the other side.

Next, I start cleaning and packing my gear before the photoshoot. My camera bag tends to get super full with all sorts of souvenirs and memories.

Then I’m off: I spend hours and kilometres in this nippy car of mine; scouting for locations and travelling to venues.

Finally, my favourite part of the day: working with people during a photoshoot!

I end the day off by planning timelines and schedules for (mostly) wedding clients.
