We’d love to publish your work on our blog in return for fresh exposure and, at the same time, keep our blog buzzing with interesting reads. If you have an interesting blog post in mind based on your experiences, tips and tricks, or even a review, we’d love to have you on board!
* Please note that all submissions are voluntary and do not qualify for discount or credit on any of our products or services.
What are we looking for?
- Photo gear reviews
- Photography tips, tutorials and how-to’s
- Photographic travels and safari stories
Structuring your article
- Use informative headings and subheadings
- Introduce your article topic so the reader knows what to expect
- Start paragraphs by making a point, and then explaining it
- End your article with a summary of the points you discussed, although this is not always necessary
Style and tone
- Our blog is fun, insightful and inspiring, so keep the tone light using conversational style. Take the reader on a journey with your story, and add a bit of humour where you feel fit.
- Use technical information to substantiate your point – please don’t litter the article with technical jargon or specs as these are heavy and difficult to read.
- We value content diversity, so add flavour to your article by developing your own style.
Spelling and grammar
Please check your spelling and grammar before submitting, but please note that we want to tell stories and share photographic expertise, so if your spelling and grammar are not up to scratch, don’t let it discourage you from writing for us. We proofread all articles for publication.
Copyright and crediting
Copyright and crediting is important to us, which is why you need to provide us with the correct information and links when submitting your article.
- Crediting: This involves getting permission from the copyright holder and attributing it with the correct information and links.
- Copyright: It is your responsibility to credit all appropriate contributors to your blog submissions’ content and visuals.
- Model and property release forms: If you use images clearly showing the likeness of a person, you must have the appropriate model release from the person in question giving you permission to use their image in public. It must clearly indemnify any agents and/or assigns which will allow us to lawfully make use of the images as publisher thereof. Images without the proper model release documentation will not be published. The same accounts for property releases for images of famous buildings and structures.
* We have a means of checking image ownership and if we find images being unlawfully used, your author account will be suspended; however, it remains your responsibility to credit all appropriate contributors to your blog submissions’ content and visuals.
