On the front exterior of the backpack is a pocket for the base of a small tripod and adjustable straps to secure the upper and lower sections. The Naked Shape Shifter from Think Tank is an extremely rugged, versatile and durable bag. I recently switched over to it for a road trip I conducted across South Africa. The bag is invaluable for travelling photographers as its ability to compress down to a fraction of its size when empty, really allows for dynamic and versatile packing and travelling. A problem I’ve had in the past with other products is that they are marketed as being capable of storing a laptop as well, however they are only designed for laptops up to 13”. This is problematic for those of us who prefer a slightly larger screen to work and edit on. Think Tank has solved this issue and allowed me to not have to lug around a second backpack dedicated to laptop gear. This feature is especially valuable when hiking or camping. Perhaps my favourite thing about this bag is its clever design, as its quickly accessible front pockets provide storage area for phones and other valuables such as keys and passports. This allows quick access when moving through airports without having to deconstruct the entire bag or while on the road.
I would highly recommend this bag to any photographers seeking a more efficient means of transporting both camera equipment and computing equipment safely.
