Lume Cube Hot Shoe Mount
Sometimes you need a little help from a friend. It might come in the form of a hot shot assistant, with the name of Lume Cube Hot Shoe Mount.
It’s the ultimate accessory allowing you to mount your Lume Cube on any camera or light stand while also giving you the ability to angle your Lume Cube light in any direction you need because of its built in ball head. Apart from the Lume Cube you could pretty much mount anything with a 1/4” thread onto a Hot Shoe or Cold Shoe mount.
Has anyone else had issues with the LUME cubes buttons not working properly when diving beyond depths of 10m/33ft as I have tried to turn the units on at a depth of approx 15m/50ft and once depressed the buttons do not return out so as not powering the unit up?
Only once I ascended to the 10m mark would they operate correctly.
Although once on they then operated at greater depths probably due to the heat expanding the internal air so as compensating for the water pressure.
Also have an issue with the twin GoPro mount as in the two prongs that are made out of machined aluminium I believe are not the same dimensions and spaced differently to original GoPro ones so you have to clamp them up so tight to stop any movement it becomes very hard to undo and adjust especially when diving with gloves!
It’s a shame really as they are great little units and provide a very good light for underwater video.
Hi Simon,
We have not received any similar complaints from clients. We would advise you take you units in to have them checked.
All the best,

Hi,
I bought Lume Cube GoPro Kit and I have faced the same issue today with both my Lume Cubes.
So, I did set my brightness setting prior to my second dive and switched on both my Lume Cubes at the surface before I decent into the dive. To my surprise, the Lume Cubes switched off due to the compression on the buttons at depths !!
Please advise
Best regards,
Adam
