The drive operates by bus power, and Plug-and-play USB 3.0 connectivity delivers ready-made storage right out of the box. The USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and the drive includes a USB-C cable.

Available in capacities up to 14TB, the G-DRIVE Hard Drive is it ideal for storage-intensive applications like audio/video editing or maintaining digital photography libraries. Use it as a backup when you return home after a shoot and a reliable extension to your computer’s internal hard drive. 

Housed in a stylish, solid aluminium case to improve durability, it also offers ultra-fast, high-performance storage thanks to Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 interfaces with 2x 40GBb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports and 1x 5Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port. Thanks to the addition of Thunderbolt 3, you can use the one port to interface with the host system at speeds of up to 245MB/s and the other ports to daisy-chain up to five additional devices to your G-DRIVE at lightning speed. Thunderbolt 3 also supports 10GB/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 and the devices comes with both USB-C and USB-A cables. Also included are 20Gb/s Thunderbolt and power cables, and an AC power adaptor.

While Thunderbolt technology is only available on Mac computers and this e G-DRIVE device is plug and play on macOS 10.12+, it can easily be reformatted for Windows 10, 8.1 and 7 by following the instructions in the included G-UTILITIES folder.
