Get your content noticed with the new Nikon Z30 Mirrorless Camera
Designed for content creators, vloggers and streamers, this small, lightweight body is packed with a DX-format 20.8MP CMOS sensor and UHD 4K recording up to 30p. If you require fast-moving action, the Z30 has you covered with 11 fps continuous speed and also features a hybrid autofocus system that offers fast and accurate eye and face detection for still and video applications. The body is compact and weighs 350 g, meaning the camera can travel with you all day, every day, and features a rear 3.0″ 10.4m-dot vari-angle touchscreen LCD that closes against the body to protect against fingerprints or scratches. This vari-angle design also means that front-facing selfie-shooting is natural and a series of selfie controls, like AF position, exposure, and self-timer settings can also be managed from the touchscreen. With WiFi and Bluetooth compatibility you can connect to your smartphone or tablet via the Snapbridge app.

The Nikon Z30 is available in two kits. The first kit is the Nikon Z30 Mirrorless Camera with the 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Lens. The 16-50mm is the smallest DX-format lens ever, in fact – it covers the sweet spot of the zoom range, letting you capture street scenes and landscapes as easily as portraits and close-ups. It has powerful Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilisation to keep your videos steady and your photos sharp.
- Z-Mount Lens/DX Format
- 24-75mm (35mm Equivalent)
- Aperture Range: f/3.5 to f/16
- One Extra-Low Dispersion Element
The second kit is the Nikon Z30 Mirrorless Camera with the 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR and the 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Lens. The 50-250mm telephoto lens gives you more than just zoom power. It’s great for portraits as it renders faces naturally without distortion and makes your subject stand out against a soft, blurry background. It lets you fill the frame with interesting compositions and also allows you to get closer to the action – wildlife, sports, concerts, events and more.
- Z-Mount Lens/DX Format
- 75-375mm (35mm Equivalent)
- Aperture Range: f/4.5 to f/16
- One Extra-Low Dispersion Element
The new Nikon Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S Lens gives you superior clarity and sharpness
In addition to the Z30 camera announcement, Nikon also released the NIKKOR Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S lens; a compact, lightweight super-telephoto prime lens. Providing a healthy mixture of reach and portability, this lens promises to be an excellent option for nature and wildlife photography (especially when hiking is required, or for handheld sports and action capture.) To reduce blur while capturing handheld and achieve 5.5-stop increase in shutter speed, you can simply select Normal mode. Professional photographers have praised Sports mode for its ability to capture rapid and erratic moving subjects by tracking the subject and providing a stable viewfinder image throughout. In more relative sizing terms, this 400mm prime has nearly the same dimensions as Nikon’s Z 70-200mm f/2.8 but weighs only 1245 g.
- Z-Mount Lens/FX Format
- Aperture Range: f/4.5 to f/32
- Super ED, ED, Fluorite, and SR Elements
- Meso Amorphous and ARNEO Coatings
- Silky Swift VCM Autofocus System
- Vibration Reduction Image Stabilisation
- Customisable Fn and Memory Set Buttons
- Weather-Sealed Design
