What Is A Neutral Density Filter?

The purpose of this Benro SHD ND16 IR ULCA WMC filter is to reduce the amount of light entering the lens (4-stop reduction). Doing so will allow you to select combinations of aperture, exposure time and sensor sensitivity that would otherwise produce over-exposed pictures.
