Spyder4express is the affordable solution for colour calibration on a single display, featuring a full-spectrum 7-colour sensor that can accurately characterize a variety of wide gamut and normal displays. With this software it is possible to calibrate your computer, iPad, iPhone and Android devices (free Spydergallery App) and uses a fourth-generation sensor with double-shielded filters for longer life and better performance.

Why Should you Colour Calibrate Your Display?

  • Different displays render the image differently, so by calibrating you are setting a reference standard which will bring colour consistency on your displays.
  • Over time displays change but calibration will return it to the original reference state for colour and brightness.
  • More than often prints do not match the display, but calibration provides a base for better matching.
  • Oversaturation may occur with wide gamut displays, highlight and shadow details might be inaccurate, brightness control affected, white point and tone response with calibration.
  • Image colours are not true to life, but after calibration images can be viewed and edited with confidence.
  • Photographers and designers can work on a properly colour calibrated screen and therefore experience greater control over the digital process of colour fidelity.
  • A properly calibrated display will enable true-to-life reproduction of image files by reliable assessment and adjustment.

How Does Spyder4express Work?

  • Install the software
  • Attach the colour sensor to USB
  • Step through the wizard
  • The sensor measures a series of colours on your screen and then creates a profile that brings your display to a reference state.
  • At the end, you can compare the before and after calibrated images.
