      All this action at a rain puddle in the middle of the road! I like the water off the adult bird's foot. Adult Gabar Goshawk chasing an immature. It was tough to get both sharp so I applied an additional sharpening filter to the immature bird.

      Thank you for taking the time to comment everyone! Maw, there is certainly no doubt about the ID. Chanting Goshawks are much larger and longer legged. One of the lesser used, previous Afrikaans names for this species was "Kleinsingvalk" which translated means small chanting goshawk - you can therefore be forgiven since I suppose it is more difficult to tell size on a photo - they are almost a third smaller than the Chanters.
