The MPE seems to give you a slightly better DOF, I like this image more because it gives a better perspective of the spider...
The flash at this angle seems less noticeable too....

Ditto Pieter.. It was so fun to see these 2 men sitting at a table in "fish eagles" picnic area, with this spider in the middle of Macro Paparazzi . Thank you for joining us Must agree, I would've also like to have more time shooting macro.. I also prefer this shot with the MPE more
