Edited to be viewed against Black background

Seeing as the others are posting shots at the bottom and moving towards the top... here is one of the sunrise shots we got from the top near the Rockeries pass. Hope you boys dont mind the order I post shots from the trip :-)

We spent the night in a cave (I forget the name now) just off to the right of the frame about 10/15 meters below from where this was taken. It was an amazing place to be and WHAT A VIEW!
When we arrived at the cave it was quite misty (as one of Rian's other shots will confirm#, cleared up amazingly, had a wonderful night with some thunder storms off in the distance #more shots of that to come later as well) and then a lovely sunrise with some seriously moody clouds around that were threatening to bring a bit of rain on our trip down the Rockeries... which turned out not to happen after all.

This is a blend of 4 shots. 2 for the sky and 2 for the land. The land's portion is about 95% of one shot and just the thin mountain range below the horizon is from another to darken the tones as it was a bit bright.
Edit after posting - warmed a bit
This looks nice at 800 pix but is MUCH better at a bigger size.

Thanks for posting this Steve. Agreed with Rob on getting this scene slightly warmer as the orange tones are coming through sections but would like to see more of that. Comparing this with my shots I think it's acceptable and truthful to that morning for it to be with warm tones on the rocks. I will wait a bit and finalise my editing as my editing needs TLC with my skills

Thanks Carl x 2 and Mike
No filters were used on the lens - even took the UV filter off (I tend to do this when shooting into the sun even with a clean filter so dust spots dont turn up as flares etc in the shot)

This is a grand scene, well captured! Agree on warming it up a tad - not sure if you uploaded a repost yet?
Why didn't Carl go up there with you?

      Thanks Jason, Morkel and Waynne.
Carl was "up there" but not right at the top of the outcrop that Rian and I went to get the sunrise from. Carl stayed on the same level as the cave and would have been roughly on the right hand third and somewhere along that ridge getting the sunrise from a different angle.
