Our ODP Safaris on the majestic Chobe river have been spectacular this year.
The Skimmers, Kingfishers, Bee-Eaters and just about every stork you can think of in huge amounts.

We also concentrated on a few smaller avian subjects such as this Lesser Striped Swallow.
Patients was well rewarded with mind blowing results...!

We look forward to the second part of our Chobe safaris kicking off just after the Masai Mara safaris.

Keep your eyes on the blog the next two weeks as we at ODP Safaris head off to the Masai Mara...!

Morkel - Thanks. I used F11 to max the DOF. A fast moving subject at such close range... I need every bit of DOF I can squeeze out of the scene.
My creteria was too shoot above 1/3000 sec and at F11-F16. At F11 the bokeh was still very nice (at F16 it started to fall away). This ment I only needed ISO 3200 to pull off the shot. (not a problem for the D3s - as you know...)
      Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comments everyone it is much appreciated!
