Thanks again guys. In case you are interested in the technique: I prefocused on the branch and locked the focus and tripod head. I then waited for the bird to fly in and fired away on 8 frames a second. Finally got lucky..

Chris, it is more than "getting lucky". To quote Zig Ziggler (motivation speaker): "You put the good stuff in, you get the good stuff out". Photography at this level requires blood, sweat and tears (amongst other things).
