    Hi Andre

Bought my Canon 10D about 2 years ago and bought this lense as well.
For about a year it was the only lense, I had apart from the kit lense.
Most of my pics I have were with this lense, and although I gave the lense away about 2 months ago when upgrading lenses to L lenses, It served me so well for very long. Had no problems with this lense.

I have that lens on my Nikon D70 and have not had any problems so far (3 months). The only complaint I found on some reviews was supposed softness between 200-300 but this is not bad enough to effect anyone but a pro imho.

if you have the budget, get something better, if you have R2200 and need 1 lens that can handle most requirements and you don't see yourself affording another lens for about a year, then get this.

I am but a beginner though so the above is just my opinion.

Been using this as my carry lens for almost a year now. Never a problem. Versatile/ good price for the budget constrained/ not to much financial loss risk if used as dailly carry lens & something happens. I run the pic's through Pic Project sharpener anyway. In the absence of a f2.8 (which I am still waiting for) I shot the entire SA Fashion Week with it. See the shots here & make up your mind.

Bear in mind all are heavily optomised/cropped here for web use.
