    Default Dvd

    Okay, arb question.

I've got a DVD gift voucher and was wondering if there are any good DVDs on photography? Preferably that teaches you something. Any exist? Are they worthwhile?

Only downside is I need to get it at Rhythmic Beats. Hopefully they can order stuff.

Thanks again (and again...and again...and again...)

Unfortunately my only source of the net right now is the office. We have 24 hour access but can't visit a few sites. Mostly porn etc, but UTube is blocked since its deamed a time waster (true...but ironically facebook is not??), but us people who want to genuinely use it are affected. They should be able to open it after working hours, but battling to get out IT guy to do it...

I've seen quite a few on the net and googling for something like "photography training dvd" turns up quite a few hits. I think that these are mostly sold directly or through photographic distributors. I have never seen anything like this in the regular music and DVD stores. Have you asked Rhythmic Beats? These stores often have catalogues from the publishing houses, showing what is available.

I found this short list of some technical titles.

Perhaps your best bet with a regular music/DVD store is to go for movies made for entertainment but with a photographic subject. I can recommend Pecker, and just the other day Strobist blogged about Under Fire.
