Cant be, Land Rovers are fixed next to the road to continue the trip

People once asked a guy doing his holiday trips in a very very old Landy, "Why do you travel with this ? " and his reply was:

"If it breaks down the road, thats where the Good Lord wants me to camp the first night "

A holiday starts when you leave home, not when you arrive there.

No it was a Audi A4 2.8 I sell my Nissan Bakkie 2 months ago to buy the Audi for one reason only to tow my caravan lucky for me it broke 19km from when I left home. It overheat and BLOW a Gasket.

So I call Cell C and they send a Tow Truck to come and pick me and my car up and took me home.

Lucky I have a reliable Volkswagen Polo 1.6 So I Hook my caravan again and off I go for the second try.

I must say I have new respect for a VW. With 6Km/L with the caravan and much wind it take me 1300Km to George.

Hmmmm.... I have lost some respect for Audi to be honest - there is a reason why they do not have resell value.

My boss's A4 has in the past couple of years blown a turbo, a manifold, the electric window's cables broke etc...etc...

That's because it was all downhill to the coast - now you gonna see if the Polo is really strong going back uphill.

Talking Re: Dis Leka by die see!!!

On the subjetc of Cars/landrovers. Was camping out in the Berg on a very quiet spot - Avr about 4 tents in the whole place for the whole time we were there. Close to us the one day a guy with wife and 2 kids pitch their tent and of course their Land Rover. Greet and meet and soon on the topic of photography. Couple days later while driving around and returning back to camp grounds I pass my neighbour in his Landy doing a rather padestrian speed - elbow out the window - looked like he was enjoying the scenary. Turns out his high gear did not work for some reason after going for a drive for the day. Having met all the campers in the ground - i remembered another camper (who just so happens to stay a couple of blocks from us in Centurion- small world) - is in fact doing jobs on Landrovers from his home. (from the looks of it Landrovers are keeping him quiet busy ) In a jiffy he was able to determine the problem - not able to fix it though. At 40km an our our neighbour then traveled back to Johburg.
I thought the turn of events interesting and was one of the best holidays ever. It certainly made me think of getting a very basic Land Rover having talked to the two neighbours who themselves have a lot of experience with them.
PS - Enjoy the see and trust your car problems are history for the rest of the stay and travel back safely
I dont know how to take a picture nor do I create anything. I can only appreciate beauty and be humbled by The Creator
