Put it this way: I have never paid a model to do a shoot for my portfolio. TFP/TFCD has been accepted in the industry since forever. Models and photographers never pay each other. If she doesn't want to to do a TFCD then fine, find someone who will. Models do the same thing.

Mitch, it's not a commercial thing, you don't sell the images. If someone wants to buy an image, the right thing to do is to discuss it with the model and give the client a price.

Why do you want to pay the model? She wants the pics, you want the pics.......so you swap. Remember she is only on set, but then you stil have to go home and spent all those hours editing......thought about that?

Oops my bad explanation - I'm talking about images that I will own, and will try to sell. In that situation I'd rather pay than try to track down a model I last saw 'n' years ago to split profits...

TFCD isn't paid, and as Mark said it's a really valid way to fill out portfolios...
