Default 20D data on cf card

Is there a way the D20 can be programmed not to save files in the CF card in folders of 100 images? I would prefer to open the card and download all files directly from one folder to the desitination folder.

    Regards,

    Kinnie

No, it is just the stupid way the Canon Engineers followed when compiling the software.

The only way to circumvent this, as far as I know, is to use a third party downloader program from Breeze Systems, called Downloader Pro. It provides a list of all the files on the CF card, irrespective of the amount of sub-folders they are arranged in, and download them to a directory or directories of your choice. It will also compile a very handy exif info text file (##.txt) of the full camera and image exif info at the time of shooting, which I find very handy.
Download a trial version at http://www.breezesys.com/Downloader/index.htm, at current R/$ exchange will cost you around R220, should you wish to buy after the 30day trial period. I found it worthwhile, it is fast to download, works for any camera of which the driver is installed, auto detects it, lists the files, and you do the rest.
If you try it, youle probably buy it. Must be the best R200 I've ever spent.
