Default Your top 3 things/events to photograph.

What 3 things/events/people whould you like to photograph (that you haven't yet done). Post your wishlist, maybe another member can help you reach your dream by introducing you to someone or taking you along with them. Lets see how many can acheive their goals.

    My top 3 wishlist is:
    1. The breaching Great Whites in Cape Town.
    2. The Wildebeest migration over the rivers in the Serengeti (read Crocodile feast - you'll find out I love Crocs)
    3. The Galapagos Islands.

Make your list worthwhile and challenging.

You can add non-nature events as well. My 4 and 5 would probably be F1 at Monaco and Angelina Jolie.

    My top 3 wishlist is:
    1. Greece / Greek Islands - I love the photos I've seen from that area and one day want to go there and do it myself, no rush.

    2. Namibia / Skeleton Coast - I've seen the north of Namibia(compliments of SANDF) and it is a very beautiful place. I would also like to do a trip along the skeleton coast based of photos of it that I've seen. A microlight aircraft must be part of my gear!

    3. Aircraft FROM another aircraft - I've always been fascinated by those type of photographs and would love to do it atleased once.
    Lourens de Lange,
Just my humble personal opinion, use it, don't use it.

    2. F1/A1 Grand Prix ( I will be at the A1 GP pitts which will be just as good)
    3. My own studio for indoor and outdoor shoots (maybe not right for the question asked but I really wish)

This is an easy one for me. In NO particular order whatsoever

    1) A Natal Sharks Currie Cup or Super 12 game ( Sport photography is a life's dream for me)
    2) MAJOR Springbok match at Loftus and even at Ellis (Preferably where we lift the Webb Ellis Trophy again or the Tri Nations shield, maybe even the Mandela Challenge and Madiba there as well)
    3) A MAJOR Motorsport event, Either MotoGP or F1, or even MotoX world champs (Still bummed I never had the gear to get some pics of Rossi showing why he is the greatest racer alive today and maybe he will even show us on 4 wheels too one day)

Of course I need to get more substantial gear before any of these become a reality, unless someone can take me along and lend me a lens
My enthusiasm is all there, the experience I am still working on.

    Interesting:
My photographic excursion wish list would be
1 The Serengeti as a natural biosphere over a year as seen through my lens.
2 The Namib desert from the south to the north in sweet light.
3 The "Birds of Paradise" of Papua-New Guinea (sp?) and Indonesia thorough my lens.

My 4 & 5 is a bit personal and I'll only mention it here if someone else comes up with something similar

    Great Topic. Tough Choice.

    1. Underwater photography over the Great Barrier Reef (must include photo's of Turtles)
    2. Wildlife photography (not fussy where but could include Okavango, Serengeti, Masai Mara, Sabi-Sabi - photo's of Leopards mandatory)
    3. Any aerial form of photography including from Helicopter, Glider, Hot-Air-Balloon, Bi-Plane, Jet

We can only keep dreaming hey!

What I would have loved to do is to make a still photography glossy page book of the Lion King.

    Imagine all those characters.

    Timone
    Bumba
    Scar.
    The "witch doctor"
    Lala
    Simba and his dad
    And those scaley Hyenas

    Capturing all that interaction.

    Ahh... while we are daydreaming

    1. Top of my list is an eclipse in the midlle of the Sahara desert with an ice cold Windhoek next to the tripod. (2006 I believe, will we organise something?)

    2. One full year of touring the Namib and Kalahari and taking pictures of the whole eco system from scorpions to Lion.

    3. Taking a picture of some famous despot, catching the glint in his eye before a croc pulls him under
Enjoy Global Warming while you can, the next Ice Age is on its way........

Wow! Bluepixel - what an offer!
Trouble is I have to stick to snorkeling (1-2m) I'm afraid, perforated ear-drums.
    Still a dream though.

hmmmmm - Ianweatherburntout - I take it you are also afraid of me. Good thing. Rather err of the safe-side.

One thing I can promise you guys - Once the gogga bites you for underwater photography, you NEVER want to do anything else. Do remember that you are mostly taking pics of things you havent even seen before! not the usual boring moon, lion, gogga or sunrise. And the challenges ...... you van NEVER point and shoot - ALL manual.... And your christmas list is VERY long too....

For other things to shoot: My wish is to be THERE and READY with D70 when something happens: bank robbery, or anything papparazzi like - so that my pic can be ALL OVER THE GLOBE!

    Hee. I don't scare easily (unless it's a spider - see http://www.outdoorphoto.co.za/forum/...php?photo=4651).
But if you say so, then maybe I should be! LOL!
    Seriously; thanks for the offer.
